Airmail Support

If you are using Airmail to for email in remote regions, you can setup BoatExec to send your Narratives and other reports via Airmail.  Start BoatExec and select Setup from the Tools menu.  Just select the Equipment tab and check the Airmail box.  With this box checked, BoatExec will ask you whether you want to send a message via Airmail or your regular internet service.  See below for setting up Airmail to support this feature.

Airmail Server Setup

For BoatExec to send messages via Airmail, you have to enable the Airmail Server and have it running when you want to send.  Start Airmail and select Options from the Airmail Tools menu.  Click on the Modules tab and check the Mail (pop/smtp) Server option as shown below.  Then press OK at the bottom.  The Airmail Server should start and open a new window.

At the bottom right corner of the Airmail Mail Server window there is a settings button at the bottom right corner.  Press the Settings button and you see the following form.  Check the boxes as shown to support BoatExec.  You may want to check other buttons for other purposes, but these are the ones that BoatExec needs.  Press the OK button to save these settings.

Now when you Send a message in BoatExec, it will ask you if you want to send the message via Airmail.  If you say Yes, then BoatExec will send the message to the Airmail Mail Server.  The message will appear in the Transit folder in Airmail, but will not be completely ready to send.  Notice the ? at the front of the message and the ? in the Via column.  You can open the message, edit it and press the mailbox button to ready it for sending, or just select it on the list and press the mailbox button to ready it for sending.  Either way works.

Once you press the mailbox button, the Transit folder will look as follows and your next transmission will get your messages on their way.
